3D data of Prague

IPR Prague maintains several models providing spatial information about the terrain and buildings in Prague. They are necessary for the visualization of planned buildings. Thanks to them, we can assess how the new building will affect its surroundings. Models are finding an increasing range of applications. They are suitable for analyzing urban environments such as facade illumination, airflow or air dispersion, or another project working, for example, with virtual reality. Other applications of 3D data are being explored and will continue to grow. The data is obtained using aerial photography, LIDAR laser technology or panoramic street photography from a car.

An important Prague project in recent years has been the creation of a so-called digital twin of the city.
