Do you want to work with our spatial data in your own GIS or mapping application?
Don't want to worry about updating your data? Take advantage of one of the many mapping services we operate.
Most of the data that IPR Prague produces is available on public servers in the form of mapping services. In short, the services provide access to most of the data used for land use planning, environmental data, infrastructure, aerial photographs, historical plans and 3D data of buildings, bridges and terrain.
About the services
Map services provide users with geospatial data in the form of web services. The services are thus used mainly in map windows of web pages or applications, but they can also be used in complex information systems or desktop programs. Through services, spatial data can not only be displayed, but it can be filtered, queried for specific values of its attributes, and spatial queries can be performed. The great advantage of the services is that they are connected to continuously updated data and users do not have to worry about updates to their own applications.
Technical information
The map services managed by IPR Prague are operated on ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise map servers.
All mapping services in operation are published in the S-JTSK coordinate system (EPSG:5514), but also support WGS84 (EPSG:4326).
Services of ESRI formats and types and services according to selected OGC standards are available.
Viewing services
Dynamic map services are most often used to provide thematic content over the underlying map (OGC WMS, ESRI Map service - dynamic).
Cached map services (OGC WMTS, ESRI Map service - cached).
Imageserver services
They convey raster data. Unlike viewing services based on raster data, they also provide advanced analytical tools for working with data (ESRI Image service - dynamic, cached).
3D services
The 3D model of buildings and bridges is shared using a special type of map service that allows both viewing and querying of individual features (ESRI Scene Service).
Process services
In addition to the above services, there are also so-called process services available - predefined analytical tools ranging from simple calculations with attributes of selected objects to complex computational models. In this case, the user defines what data he or she wants to use, what operation is to be performed and how the desired result is to be transmitted. In practice, this is a (partial) transfer of the functionality of geographic information systems to the web (ESRI Geoprocessing service, OGC WPS).
How is it done?
We publish map services according to OGC (OpenGeospatial Consortium) standards and in ESRI formats.
Connect map services to your map application or GIS as needed. When used in a commercial product, be sure to indicate the source of the service. The license terms of use are part of the metadata of each service.
